Dear Debbie:
As Brewster and Bradford near their 6-month-old birthdays, I just wanted to update you on the joy they have brought us.
Early in the mornings Brewster will jump up on our bed and nestle in my arms and cuddle for several hours.  (I now have to add an extra 20 minutes or so to my morning routine to accommodate him, of course!)  Bradford cuddles down by my torso and leg area on the opposite side.  Bradford is quite inquisitive about human food and would like to sample everything.  Brewster shows no interest.  We refer to Bradford as Bradford the Brave, as he is undaunted in all things, whether it be vacuum cleaners, loud noises, etc.  Brewster, on the other hand, is quite shy and a bit more skittish.  But it is probably because he is more thoughtful and seems to ponder things and ruminates more than Bradford.  For instance, Brewster sits by my computer screen and is mesmerized.  Or if I am playing on my DS Lite handheld game, he'll just sit in my arms and follow the movements on the screen.  They thoroughly enjoy their daily walks in their stroller (weather-permitting), and one of the most heartwarming sounds we hear throughout the day and night is the thumping of their rapid little paws as they tear up and down the stairs and throughout the house, dashing about all over.  They are totally unfazed by Luke, the 94-pound Golden Retriever, and even enjoy licking his ears, etc.  On April 15th they turn 6 months old, and our vet will perform "the surgery" on them on the 19th.  She and the entire staff at Crossroads Vet in Newberg are smitten by these two beautiful creatures.
Thank you for these two FABULOUS FELINES!
I will keep you posted from time to time.

Debbie:
They are adjusting wonderfully.  They are unfazed by Luke (8-year-old,
95-pound gentle Golden Retriever).  They've wondered through our entire
house (3,298 square feet) and ENJOY all the rooms.  I have a laser light
that I flash on the floor and have them running in circles.  They love it.
We purchased the $87 kitty condo at Costco (retailing for $299 at
Petsmart--UGH!), and they play in that (the first night they slept in it).
I purchased the Royal Canin Kitten food, and they are eating well and using
their litter box!  They are PURRFECTION--what can I say?  They started out
sleeping with us last night and then wondered off into their nocturnal
adventure, prancing, pouncing, etc.  WE ARE SO HAPPY TO HAVE PURCHASED A SET
OF BROTHERS!  They play with each other--we love to see them wrestle.  We'll
keep you posted on their progress.
We have a wonderful vet in Sherwood; Dr. Kerri Jackson has been our vet for
25 years.  Do you think we should have an introductory visit with her before
we have them neutered in April?  I think we will.
Again THANK YOU FOR BEING SUCH CONSCIENTIOUS BREEDERS!  It shows in your
beautiful kittens.

Hi Debbie & Elsie,

Here are some pictures I took of Zoey.  She is so adorable!  She has slept with us every night right between the two of us, and she sleeps all through the night.  She is definitely a cuddle bug. She is also very gentle.  She is using the litter box, no accidents.  She will suddenly have a brust of energy and play for a while then she will nap for a while ~ what a life. She still wants to hide when she hears a loud noise but I have cut off access to anything and everything that she can hide in. I'm sure with time and patience she will get better with different sounds. She has only been with us 4 days now, so I think she is still adjusting to the change of not being with mom and siblings. I can tell she feels comfortable and safe when she is with me or Larry. She will expose her belly often so we will rub it and she will purrrr, she LOVES her belly to be rubbed! We went to Costco and bought the kitty tree and she is having a grand old time with it, however, I believe we are having more fun and laughs watching her play on it.  Right now she is next to me sleeping on the bed and not hiding under it  Zoey has definitely helped me with my grieving over my other kitty Terra's passing, and she has brought joy back into my life. Terra had filled a huge void in my life and now my little sweet Zoey will take over and follow in Terra's foot steps. If you want you can add my message and pictures to your happy customer page.

Sincerely,
Belinda
Hi from Heidi and Paul and Bubba and Bella!  We are all doing great.  People toilet training is proceeding with mostly success.  The kittens are growing up beautifully and we love them dearly and they give us so much in affection back.  So far they go on trails on a leash with us, ride in kayaks, travel great distances in the car, and travel in the boat under way without a trace of upset.  They are AWESOME cats!  Thank you so much!

Hi Elsie,

Nino is doing great, he is in his last stage of toilette training and to my surprise he has learned the whole proses very fast without any accidents he is very intelligent kitten.

I was also very surprise how well he adapted to his new home. The first day we took him home he chose to  stay in the guess room so I set up his bed there, but the second day he was all over the place running and jumping; you did an excellent job to create his social skills :) he just love to be with people, now he is next to me following my finger while I type he seems to like my lap-top a lot.

I stared feeding him EVO and he seems to like it a lot but he still have rice and eggs for breakfast and a little bit of tuna by 5pm he seems to be very accustom to his meals because every time his breakfast or dinner is late he meows so laud that you can hear him even in the basement.

I will send you pictures later on when he gets bigger

We are very happy with Nino,  he is a wonderful cat.

Hi,

She is a real sweetheart, no surprise!  Her name is now Ruby.  She immediately seemed right at home, very confident but still mellow and affectionate.  She's eating well (and I never before thought I would cook for a cat!).  Her appointment to meet our vet is this weekend, for her third shot.

We have two older cats, and they are getting used to her, not too much hissing anymore.  They are touching noses and making some contact.  Our daughter's chihuahua is her favorite playmate since they are both frisky.  She loves playing in the cube you gave us.

Ruby has been sleeping with us and is very cuddly in the mornings.  We totally enjoy having her in our family.  Thanks again.  One of these days we'll get a good picture of her and send it to you.

Thanks!
Linda and Eric
Happy New Year!  Hope all is well.

As you can see Petey & Ollie are growing up to be beautiful boys. They're halarious to watch. One minute they're beating each other up, the next they're sleeping in a ball of fur, hugging each other.

Thanks for breeding such wonderful new friends.

Take care, Pam

Elsie -
I wanted to write and tell you how impressed we are with Days o' Glory.
We searched a long time to find a male with the best traits of the
Ragdoll breed to use as the stud in our cattery.  I am very happy to say
that Days o' Glory has met our expectations very nicely.  His 1st
birthday is next week, and he is rapidly closing in on 15 pounds.  He is
extremely loving and well mannered.  His coat is very thick and smooth.
His colors are expressing wonderfully.  All in all, he is an excellent
addition to our cattery!  I have already referred several interested
parties from the west coast to your cattery, and based on our experience
with Days o' Glory, will happily recommend your cattery to others!

Keep up the wonderful work that you do!

Hi,
Just wanted to let you know how the babies are doing. They are such a joy!! Tasha is such a little pistol! Mikie is twice the size of tosh, what a moose. They're starting to kind of bond with Sammy, we watch them to make sure he backs off if he gets carried away. Sherrie doesn't care one way or the other, it gets quite interesting with 4 cats in our bedroom. Sam dosen't sleep in with us for now, he's not too happy about someone else snuggling with mom and dad, but he's coming around. I'll send you a picture of all three in the cat tree. I just can't find my card reader, I stuck it some place safe and now I can't find it. I guess it's safe where ever it is.
Sharrie is starting to sort of lean into my hand when I scratch under her chin, might be hopeful thinking on my part. But one day soon I plan on holding her in my lap with out medical treatment afterword.
I'll send the picture when I can,
Later!

Hi Elsie and Debbie - We are loving our kitties!  They are so full of energy and they crack us up with their antics.  We are attaching some photos for your enjoyment (but not too many or the e-mail will never go through).
First are the kittens and their new Mothers at your home.  Second is Adrienne and Kiwi.  Third is Kiwi at one of their favorite pasttimes - watching (and trying to catch) the fish in our fish tank.  Mango actually jumped right into the side of the tank trying to get the fish and splatted to the floor.  She is fine and will not do that again.  Fourth is Kiwi riding her horse.  Ok, so for some reason we have more cute photos of Kiwi, but Mango is not truly neglected.
Hope all is well at the Cattery.

Good morning.  Thanks for the email.
Hurley is doing wonderful.  She has adjusted very well and she loves the kids.  We took her for her checkup after getting her and they said she was beautiful.  We are having to work with her in regards to us eating and her trying to get up on our laps at the dinner table but that is going good.  She is very loving and we are enjoying her very much.  She seems to have taken more of an attachment to Toby, but that is probably because I always have one of the kids in my lap, but she will join us at times.
We will look into getting her fixed within the next few months here and get all that to you when we do.
Here are a few pictures.
Thanks so much.

Hi Elsie & Debbie,

I haven't been in touch with you for a while, but I wanted to send this current picture along of Jazzpurr. We have had him for almost two years now! He is playful, loving, and adorable!

Susan Ernst

Hi Debbie,

We love Jazzpurr (our spelling variation).  He has been such a great
addition to our home.  He is loving, playfull and beautiful.
He has brought
us so much joy in just a few days.  He seems to have adjusted quite well to
the change of homes.  He loves being with us and being carried around.  He
purrs constantly.

He also seems to have learned some very good habits from you and Elsie.  We
bought him a nice big kitty tree and he ran right over to it to scratch on.
(He uses it exclusively for scratching and had not touched the furniture
with his claws out.)

He had a long ride home on Saturday and fussed for a little while, then sat
in my lap and played and purred for the remainder of the trip.

I will email you pictures in the next day or two.  We just love him pieces
and we are so happy to have him in our home and office.  All that have met
him just love him.  We would recommend you to anyone!

Thank you so much!
Susan & Steve

Hello!
This is Dawson's parents! Just wanted to email Debbie a picture of him.
He is a little bit bigger then this picture now, but this is my favorite
picture of him. He looks like a model. Everything is going
well with him. We just love him so much and he is a wonderful cat.
He got fixed on Halloween day, and everything went great.
Take care.
Sarah

Dawson all grown up

Watson is doing very well, he’s such a sweetheart.  He follows Dan from room to room and mews in protest if he’s left behind.  Dan asked me, the other day, what he ever did without the little guy.  Watson is growing fast, and getting darker and darker, too.  The darker he gets, the more that blaze on his face stands out.  J  He is a very vocal kitten, and he purrs so loud you can hear him from several feet away, so the Purrbaby nickname stuck.  We have taken some pictures of him, none of which do those blue eyes proper justice, but I don’t have any on this computer, so I’ll have to send them when I can.  He still has a lot of kittenness about him, but he’s starting to grow into himself and every once in a while I get a glimpse of the beautiful cat he’s turning into.

I hope you are having a great holiday, and aren’t missing our little Watson too much.

Best Wishes.
Diana

Watson is growing into a beautiful cat, though of course the picture doesn’t quite do those blue eyes justice.  He likes to watch TV, particularly chase scenes, and loves to play.  It has become evident, now, why they call the breed Ragdoll, he loves nothing more than to be carried around the house, and will sleep in a warm lap for hours.  He has an appointment with the vet tomorrow to get neutered, I’m looking forward to finding out exactly how much he weighs.  He is growing so quickly.

I hope you are doing well, and enjoying your ragdolls as much as we are enjoying Watson.

Thank you.
Diana

Watson

She is great…..and she is adjusting very well.  She loves kids and is not scared of anyone.  My sister came over with her son who is only 16 month old and Maggy came right up to him and started purring. He started laughing rather loudly and Maggy still just sat right there with him….I think my sister wants to get a kitten from you at a later date once her son is a little older….I will send you pictures of her as she grows too…Thanks we love her already!
